WEYMOUTH KITE FESTIVAL PICTURES

All these pictures were taken at the Weymouth Beach Festival, which is held on the first Bank Holiday weekend in May each year it is well worth a visit.

The Council of Dorset always put on added attractions for the weekend, including a Free Firework Display on the Sunday evening.

There is an abundance of reasonably priced Guest Houses and Hotels; also they have sites for camping nearby.

If you have never been to Weymouth it is well worth coming, there are plenty of good shops, a Harbour and Ferry service to France and the Islands of Jersey and Guernsey.

Situated in the county of Dorset it is a handy base for touring the adjoining counties of Somerset, Devon and Cornwall

The pictures show kites of all types flying above the skyline of Weymouth; some Guest Houses can be seen opposite,overlooking the lovely sandy bay.

So come on down and make a Holiday of it, the beach is safe and clean, the kids will love it.

There are always lots of Kite stalls set up along the Promenade so you can buy a nice new Kite or other goodies associatedwith Kite flying.

What better way to end the day than out flying your kite in the setting sun?
